Xiamen Travel Guide
The first day
Traveling within Xiamen Island, South Putuo, Xiamen University, Huandao Road and Hulishan Fort are on the same route. Therefore, it is recommended to visit Nanputuo first, walk to Xiamen University, reach the seaside of Huandao Road from Baicheng gate, and walk to Hulishan Fort. After the tour, you can rent a bicycle at the door and ride around Huandao Road. At the train station, you can take Line 1 or Line 21 to Nanputuo. To the south of Nanputuo is Xiamen University, and the ticket price is 3 yuan. At the train station, you can take Route 1 or Route 21 to the terminal, Xiamen University.
Huandao Road: Xiamen University Baicheng is the starting station of Huandao Road. It is recommended to take the bus at Hulishan Fortress Station. You can get off at Pearl Bay, stroll on Huandao Road for one to two stops, and then take the bus. Until the Exhibition Hotel. The road around the island is full of natural seascapes, with sandy beaches and waves, reminiscent of Australia's Gold Coast. There are two ways to play: if you have time, you can take a taxi to the seaside amusement park or to the "One Country, Two Systems" sign with a large sign, and then rent a bicycle (two people or one person, 10 yuan per hour, if you have a long time, you can negotiate the price separately) and take a leisurely tour. Kill time, take pictures and watch the Little Kinmen and Dadan Erdan Island on the opposite side. The sea here is wide and has almost the best sea view in Xiamen. If you are short on time, you can take a taxi and go around the coast slowly, and then turn back when you reach the National Exhibition Center. The taxi fare from the ferry to the National Exhibition Center is about more than 30 yuan. It only costs more than 20 yuan from Nanputuo and Xiamen University to the National Exhibition Center. You can basically get a glimpse of the most beautiful places in Xiamen
You can go shopping in the evening and look for delicious food. Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street is accessible by bus No. 1. Walk along Zhongshan Road to the ferry terminal to Gulangyu Island. There is a "Huang Zehe" peanut soup just before leaving Zhongshan Road and approaching the pier. You can also take minibus No. 31 for 1 yuan to go to the ferry terminal to see Gulangyu Island at night, the snack street Datong Road, and No. 49 is the famous "Wu Zaitian". Take a turn from Datong Road and arrive at Zhongshan Road. Eat pizza at Pizza Hut on the 17th floor opposite the Lujiang Hotel, because it is the best place to see the night view of Gulangyu Island. No matter day or night, the scenery of the island opposite is unobstructed. Walk along Lujiang Road in front of the pier in the direction of Datong Road. There is a Fuyu Datong duck porridge on Datong Road just before Lujiang Road. You can also walk straight from Yanwu Road opposite Nanhua Road to the beach. Remember to take the path on the left when you are approaching the beach on Yanwu Road, because there is something like a gate blocking you not far after turning to the right. The beach at night is also very beautiful, especially when the sun sets in the evening.
The next day
Gulangyu Island - Sunlight Rock - Shuzhuang Garden - Haoyue Garden - Architecture of All Nations - Underwater World
Half-price admission to Sunlight Rock before 7:30, get the chance Get up at around 5 o'clock and take the earliest bus No. 1 to the ferry. I'll be there around 7 o'clock. When you get on the pier, go straight. When you see McDonald's, you will reach the leading road that people can't tell apart. There are leading roads everywhere. No matter what, just go straight. If you encounter Xinhua Bookstore, go in and buy one. Hand-drawn maps. If you walk to Jiexin Park, you can also buy a hand-drawn map of "Sunlight Rock" at Zhang Sanfeng Milk Tea Shop (including the cable car, bird garden and the cinema in front of the park: it only shows a documentary about Gulangyu Island, which is highly recommended). Recommended attractions The Carving Museum, 100-meter high platform, Sunlight Rock Temple, Qin Garden, Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall, and Bird Garden are connected by a cableway in the middle. The 100-meter-high platform is the highest point on the island, and you can overlook the entire island and Xiamen on the opposite side. There are two big rocks next to the rain pavilion. You can go up the ladder. The view is actually no worse than the 100-meter-high platform. Recommended attractions in "Shuzhuang Garden": Piano Museum, Twelve Cave Sky, Jiuqu Bridge leading to the sea, and two gardens that complement the mountains and hide the sea. Next to it is Wan Chai Back Beach. Admission to "Haoyue Garden" is free after 6 o'clock. "Architecture of All Nations" is located along the leftmost road when you come up from the pier. Countries originally had consulates here, so there are many buildings with different styles left. It is a bit like Qingdao's Badaguan, but it looks a little shabby, but more beautiful. Like Europe, it is for living and not for decoration. The real charm of Gulangyu Island is hidden deep in those winding alleys
Day 3
In the morning, Jimei took bus 18 to the end. Jimei is a small town, with Jimei University, Tan Kah Kee Tomb, memorial hall, garden expo.
Food recommendation: There is a "Miao Shi Bian Shi" on the Zhongshan Road, and the storefront is very small and shabby. Bianshi is a bit like wontons. It's delicious, and it also has noodles.
All very cheap! "Oil fried": Huang Zehe has it, and other stores should also have it. It is fried oysters and eggs together, it is delicious! ! Must eat! "Shacha Noodles": You can choose your own ingredients, such as oysters, duck meat, tofu, fish balls, etc. The soup base should be filled with Shacha sauce. "Huang Zehe"'s peanut soup, spring rolls, and noodle paste, I don't need to describe it, it's just delicious! "Soil bamboo shoot jelly": It's like meat jelly with sandworms wrapped in it. I think the taste is average. "Shao Xian Cao": You can find it on the roadside. The bottom is like turtle jelly, called Shao Xian Cao. The top is milk tea, and also contains peanuts, walnuts and coconuts. It tastes very refreshing. "Olive Juice": The one I brought you last time. On the road to Xiamen University, there is a store called Great World Olive Juice, which sells food made from olives.
"Gulangyu Food"
A. Snacks: fish balls and mochi are more famous. Among them, the two that are better for fish balls are Lin Jiyu at No. 54 Quanzhou Road. Maru, one is the Longtou Wan Dian on Longtou Road (next to Jiexin Park, the two are not far away), and the mochi is Ye’s mochi diagonally opposite Xinhua Bookstore on Longtou Road;
B. Features Shops: Huang Shengji Preserved Meat Shop (the one on the upper left side of Xinhua Bookstore is the authentic one, and you can try it for free. The tasting is a large piece of food...), BABYCAT Royal Cake House (straight ahead of Xinhua Bookstore) (walk), Zhang Sanfeng Milk Tea Shop (next to Jiexin Park), Spend Time Coffee (in Fanpo Building, Anhai Road), etc.;
C. Seafood stalls: There are two places that are more suitable for self-guided tourists: 1. It's next to the Jiexin Park. Among them, Aqiang Food stall and Lichen Food stall are better. The former is a place I often go to eat. It's not easy to find. It's in the alley on the right between Longtou Fish Ball Shop and Jiexin Park; the second is There are several food stalls on the seaside to the right of Gulangyu Villa Hotel, which are a bit remote. They are mainly targeted at hotel guests and students and residents of the nearby College of Arts and Crafts;
D. Others: pies (Wang Ji, Huang Zehe They are all good, I like the mung bean and vegetarian cakes better), dried seafood (the prices in some small alleys are more affordable, and you can bargain further), bean curd (you can try both the store-front ones and the pick-up ones)
E. There are several Xiamen local pastry and bakery shops in the alley from Jiexin Park to the vegetable market, which are also good, such as Andrewson, Xiangyangfang, Yousimai, Te Xiangbao, and a Huang Zehe franchise. The peanut soup sold in the small store is not as sweet as the one in the main store.
The fish ball soup costs 5 yuan for a bowl, which is very delicious. I also had the fragrant straw rice. On the famous Longtou Road, I tasted frozen bamboo shoots and banana palm.
