How to cultivate pepper seedlings

It is particularly important to standardize pepper seedling raising technology, and cultivating strong seedlings is the premise to improve pepper yield and output value.

1 seed treatment

1. 1 seed drying

Sprinkle pepper seeds in the sun for 2-3 hours. Exposure to sunlight can effectively kill bacteria carried by some seeds.

1.2 seed soaking

Seed soaking can generally be divided into warm soup soaking and bacterial liquid soaking. Soaking in warm soup can kill germs on the surface of seeds, while soaking in bacterial liquid can kill germs inside seeds. The specific operation is to soak the seeds with warm water at 55℃ (all seeds should be soaked), stir them with wooden sticks, and wash them with clear water to dry after the water temperature drops; Then soak in 300 times of 50% carbendazim solution 10~ 15 minutes to kill bacteria in the body; After soaking seeds with 3% trisodium phosphate for 20 minutes, the pathogens and viruses such as gray mold, anthracnose, early blight and Fusarium wilt carried on the surface of pepper seeds can be killed. Finally, soak in water for 8~ 10 hour at room temperature, and then accelerate germination and sowing.

Step 2 accelerate germination

Accelerating germination is the key measure to ensure the rapid emergence and seedling uniformity of pepper after sowing. After the seeds are soaked for 8~ 10 hour, they are filtered and dried, wrapped with a wet towel, and placed in a constant temperature box at about 30℃ to maintain a certain humidity to accelerate germination. Generally, turn it over every 6 hours 1 time, and then take it out and rinse it with clean water every 24 hours. It should be noted that when the pepper seeds are white, stop cleaning to avoid damaging the seedlings, and sow when two-thirds of the seeds germinate.

3 seedbed preparation

Pepper seedling bed should choose plots with leeward and sunny, strong water retention and loose and fertile soil, and avoid planting solanaceae crops in the previous crop. Digging the border soil deeply/0/5 days before sowing, appropriate farmyard manure and calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer can be applied to improve soil fertility, and the seedbed is disinfected with 50% carbendazim 800 times solution, dichlorvos 800 times solution and acetochlor to prevent weeds.

4 sowing

After leveling the seedbed, fully water the soles of feet before sowing 1 day. Before sowing, harrow the border, and then sow at a certain distance from the border; When sowing, you can also mix the seeds with fine soil or fine sand, so that the seeds can be separated and distributed more evenly on the boundary. After sowing, cover a layer of sterilized organic matter, sprinkle water with a watering can, and spread a film on the ground to improve the temperature and humidity of the ground.

Then, bamboo pieces are used as the circular arch skeleton, and the distance from the highest point of the shed to the boundary is 0.5~0.6 meters, and then a film with a width of 2 meters is covered on it, and the surrounding soil is covered to achieve the effect of heat preservation.

5 seedling management

5. 1 temperature and humidity management

Keep the humidity in the shed within 7 days after sowing to promote the growth of roots, and keep the temperature in the shed at 20~30℃. When seedlings are found, the film should be uncovered in time. After slow seedling, the temperature can be reduced appropriately and kept at 20~25℃. During the day, attention should be paid to uncovering the shed film, maintaining ventilation and avoiding high temperature and humidity. Uncovering the plastic film and hardening the seedlings 10~ 15 days before pepper planting.

5.2 Water and fertilizer management

When the pepper begins to grow heart leaves, it can be properly watered according to the dry and wet conditions of the soil to keep the soil moisture and follow the principle of seeing dry and seeing wet. In the late stage of seedling growth, a small amount of urea solution can be sprayed as topdressing to ensure the growth of new shoots and promote the differentiation of flower buds.
