Brief introduction of Liupanshui city

Liupanshui, also known as Du Liang, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province. It is located in Wumeng Mountain in western Guizhou, at the junction of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the Pearl River, and on both sides of the Nanpanjiang and Beipanjiang river basins. It is one of the important railway hub cities and logistics distribution centers in southwest China.

Liupanshui has a cool, comfortable, humid and fresh climate with moderate ultraviolet radiation. Awarded the title of "Du Liang, China" by China Meteorological Society, China is a city named after its climate characteristics. Liupanshui has a long history and was a territorial country in the Spring and Autumn Period. During the Warring States Period, the city belonged to Yelang State, and after Qin unified China, it belonged to Hanyang County and Ba County.

By 2020, the total area of the city will be 99 14 square kilometers, and it will govern four county-level administrative regions, namely Liuzhi Special Zone, Panzhou City, Shuicheng District and Zhongshan District, five provincial-level economic development zones and 87 townships (streets). The total area is 9965 square kilometers, accounting for 5.63% of the total area of the province.
