Cai Yuanpei’s educational thoughts

Cai Yuanpei was a famous educator in the early years of the Republic of China. He proposed the policy of education, the education policy of simultaneously promoting five educations, military and national education, strength education, citizen moral education, world view education, aesthetic education, and promulgated the Education Purpose, the new academic structure from 1912 to 1913, Cai Yuanpei, reforming Peking University. Cai Yuanpei promulgated the Interim Curriculum Outline for General Education Curriculum Standards, abolished Bible reading and lecture classes, criticized the inheritance of traditional culture, and focused on the civilian nature, adaptability, and hand-brain coordination of the curriculum.
