There are currently four state-owned insurance companies:

1. People's Insurance Company of China (Group) Co., Ltd.: referred to as "People's Insurance Company of China", which has jurisdiction over PICC Property and Casualty Insurance Company , PICC Life Insurance, PICC Health, PICC Assets, etc.;

2. China Life Insurance (Group) Company: referred to as "China Life", which has jurisdiction over China Life, China Life Assets, China Life Overseas, China Life Financial Insurance, etc.;

3. China Reinsurance (Group) Company: referred to as "China Re", which has jurisdiction over property reinsurance, life reinsurance, China Continent Property Insurance, China Re Asset Management, Huatai Insurance, etc.;

4. China Taiping Insurance (Group) Company: referred to as "China Taiping".
