Kinship refers to the lineal blood relatives of both parties who establish a relationship through marriage. For example, if you marry anonymous, then anonymous's immediate blood relatives are your in-laws.

For example, my father-in-law's brother or younger brother is not a close relative, but my father-in-law's parents and my mother-in-law's parents are close relatives. To put it simply, three generations of lineal blood relatives of both sides are considered close in-laws.

So you and your lover's uncle are not close relatives.
