Shanxi has so rich tourism resources, why so few people travel to Shanxi?

The reasons why Shanxi, as a major tourism province but not a strong tourism province, are as follows:

The publicity is not in place and the government does not pay attention to it. Shanxi has many tourism resources, but they have not been well publicized. When tourism is booming all over the country, only a few scenic spots in Shanxi may be full. In the era of coal economy, tourism was not taken seriously, and historical relics and monuments were even damaged due to the development of coal.

The construction of scenic spots is not perfect. Most of the scenic spots in Shanxi are surrounded by walls to sell tickets. Their own history, humanities and other significance are not developed enough or not at all. There are even some scenic spots and historic sites that are completely like As a legacy building, take the Twin Towers in Taiyuan as an example. Its significance to Taiyuan is no less than that of the ancient city of Xi'an and the Leifeng Pagoda in Hangzhou. However, the Twin Towers currently have nothing but peonies to see every year.

The scenic spots are too scattered and the tourism facilities are relatively backward. In fact, I really feel that there are many tourist attractions in Shanxi, but they are too scattered and they are all located in counties and villages. In this case, the supporting facilities must be well prepared, but transportation is not the first priority. When traveling in Shanxi, I have seen that almost all guides recommend that outsiders rent a car, because there is no high-speed rail north of Taiyuan and there are only a few expressways. What else can you do besides driving yourself? Besides, there are no modern big cities in Shanxi except Taiyuan, and the supporting facilities in small and medium-sized cities near tourist attractions are really poor.

The gaming experience is average. Ancient buildings are everywhere in Shanxi, but they are not used. When it comes to ancient buildings, the threshold is too high. There is nothing in the stomach that can’t be understood. In the eyes of tourists, they are just a bunch of temples. As a cultural landscape, ancient buildings should play the cultural card and be combined with modern culture instead of clinging to traditional culture and folk customs. Nowadays, when people see folk customs, they just think they are tacky and no one wants to see them.
