Quanzhou Ocean Vocational College, established in 2009, is a vocational college approved by the Fujian Provincial People's Government, put on record by the Ministry of Education, included in the unified enrollment plan of the national college entrance examination, and has the qualification to independently issue national academic certificates.

Relying on the marine cultural heritage of Quanzhou Millennium ancient port, the college has built a 2-kilometer-long stone carving landscape fence of Hayes culture, a world special ship exhibition hall, a marine culture exhibition hall, a marine science and technology film and television exhibition hall, and the only museum of party building and ideological and political affairs with the theme of sea power in domestic universities.
