Wechat intercepts and filters "harmful" chat messages, which is often considered legal. To put it simply and rudely, it is the same as checking whether there are explosives and dangerous chemicals when sending letters and parcels by the post office.

Interception system:

In the first phase of the crackdown on WeChat public platform, nearly 1000 articles were deleted and more than 400 accounts were closed. Tencent products provide three systems to resist rumor erosion: technical interception system, manual report processing system and rumor-dispelling tools.

In daily operation, Tencent has a professional team to handle users' reports. According to the user's report, once it is confirmed that there are violations of national laws, regulations, policies, public order, good customs and social morality involving infringement, disclosure, rumor, harassment, advertising and spam, the WeChat team will punish the relevant accounts according to the seriousness of the case.
