On March 17, the Karamay Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held a ceremony for the centralized opening and resumption of major construction projects with an annual output of 720,000 tons in baijiantan district (Karamay High-tech Zone), which sounded the charge of project construction in the new year and issued a mobilization order for a new round of great construction and development. Baijiantan district is a municipal district in Karamay, Xinjiang, 30 kilometers northeast of the city. 1956, oil workers explored here and found that the land was all saline-alkali, hence the name.
