The Red Palace was originally a school palace in the Ming Dynasty. It was built by Zheng Yuan of Haifeng County in the twelfth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1329). The existing buildings include Lingxing Gate, Poolside Arch Bridge, Dacheng Hall (also known as the "Confucian Temple") in the front hall and two side halls. Dacheng Hall is the main structure of the Red Palace, and many revolutionary cultural relics are now stored in the two side halls.
