Xixiang Street belongs to Bao'an District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. It was originally Xixiang Town. It is located in the west of Shenzhen and on the east bank of the Pearl River Estuary. Xixiang was the land of ancient Baiyue in the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties. It belonged to Panyu County and Boluo County of Nanhai County in Qin Dynasty. It belonged to Baoan after the sixth year of Xianhe in Jin Dynasty (AD 331). The county belonged to Dongguan County after the second year of Zhide in the Tang Dynasty (757). After the first year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1573), it came under the jurisdiction of the two capitals of Ende Township in Xin'an County. In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Xixiang, Shangchuan, Liutang and other villages under the jurisdiction of Dianshi. In the early years of the Republic of China, it followed the Qing system. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it went through administrative reforms and changes. In 1984, it was reorganized into Xixiang Town. In 2004, Xixiang was reorganized into Xixiang Subdistrict Office, an agency dispatched by the Baoan District Government of Shenzhen City.
