What is the spirit of the National Games?

The fundamental purpose of the National Games is to "develop sports and enhance people's physique".

The National Games of the People's Republic of China (hereinafter referred to as the "National Games") is the highest level and largest comprehensive sports meeting in China. The events of the National Games are basically the same as those of the Olympic Games except martial arts. Its original intention is to train new people and select talents for the national Olympic strategy. The National Games is held every four years, usually one year after the Olympic Games.
