The main responsibilities of the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau are:

(a) to be responsible for emergency management, and to guide all localities and departments to deal with emergencies such as safety in production and natural disasters and comprehensive disaster prevention, mitigation and relief work. Take the lead in organizing the preparation of the city's emergency system construction, safe production and comprehensive disaster prevention and mitigation planning, organize the drafting of relevant local laws and government regulations, and guide and supervise their implementation.
