The Party’s announcement that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era. With the amendment of the Constitution and the promulgation of the "Party and State Institutional Reform Plan" in 2018, our country has embarked on a new journey of comprehensively governing the country according to law.

Under this new historical orientation, in order to deepen legislative research and exchanges and promote the further development of my country’s legislative practice, the China Law Society’s Legislative Research Society, in accordance with the unified deployment of the China Law Society, is hereby scheduled to The "2018 Academic Annual Conference of the Legislation Research Society of the China Law Society" was held at Hainan University (Haikou City, Hainan Province) from October 27 to 28, 2018 (Saturday and Sunday).

2018 marks the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Hainan Province as a special economic zone. The Party Central Committee decided to support the construction of a free trade pilot zone across the island of Hainan, support Hainan in gradually exploring and steadily promoting the construction of a free trade port with Chinese characteristics, and establish a free trade port policy and institutional system step by step and in stages.

The Legislation Research Society of the China Law Society chose to hold the 2018 Academic Annual Conference in Hainan. It is not only a review of my country’s legislative theory and practice since the reform and opening up, but also a review of China’s future legislation in the context of the new era. The good wishes and prospects are truly profound.

The relevant matters are now pre-announced as follows:

5. Regional development and Research on the construction of the rule of law (Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, etc.)

2. Paper requirements and deadlines

1. Participants are limited to submitting one paper as the first author. . Papers must include a brief introduction to the author, and the main text should be in Song font size 4 and single-spaced. Other formats and annotation styles should be handled according to the submission requirements of "Chinese Jurisprudence". In principle, the word count of the paper should be more than 8,000 words.

2. Deadline: October 14, 2018 (including that day). For all submissions, please indicate "Author's Name: 2018 Legislative Annual Conference Paper" in the subject line of the email. The paper format should be a word document, and name the word document "Author's Name: Paper Title" and add it to the attachment.
