What’s the least smart thing you’ve ever seen a tourist do?

Let’s start with my visit to Mallorca, Spain many years ago.

As you know, the Spanish island of Mallorca receives a lot of British tourists, and of course, not all of them are civilized. I remember I had just settled into my hotel room and heard a noise from the hotel balcony downstairs. From the sounds of glass being broken and things being thrown, I just thought, okay, let's just give them the benefit of the doubt. They may be excited and relaxed just like other tourists.

At this point I knew they were British, but not what type of people they actually were. So the next morning I went downstairs to have breakfast and accidentally bumped into a family downstairs. I smiled at them while we awkwardly waited for the elevator, but to my surprise, I got nothing but a look of displeasure. I knew right away there was something racist about these scumbags, the hotel where I and another family stayed had only non-white people in them, so it was obvious the family didn't like anyone who wasn't white.

When they see me and another family member, they whisper a few words. Heck, I even caught them verbally attacking a Spanish guest, calling her a "curry head". It pisses me off to think that a racist can go to another country to vent their hatred and think they can get away with it! But retribution sure hit them hard and one of them fell face first while eating breakfast On the floor, her eggs and bacon were all over her, haha! The guy lost his credit card. I love karma!

I was in Marmaris, on a bus returning to the hotel from a quad bike ride, when I started eavesdropping on a family behind us, yet another British family. They were just spouting ignorant things and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. They began by saying how irritating the Islamic call to prayer was and that they could not stand it. I am stunned by the stupidity of this family. Turkey is a Muslim majority country so of course the call to prayer would work in a Muslim country and they should at least research the country before vacationing in Turkey. Most resorts are far away from the mosques so you hardly hear the call to prayer but in some cases you will, so if you hate it then don't come to Turkey, they won't because you don't like it Turn it off!

I wanted to say something, but when a little girl said she loved it and danced while it played, I laughed.
