Ordinary movie plot
In 1980s, President Reagan left the whole United States with pain and failure, because he didn't face up to AIDS until four years later. The story of this film happened in that background, when the first AIDS patients began to appear. Ned Weeks, the hero, as the first AIDS patient to receive attention, turned to Emma Brookner, a female doctor, for help. Ned's boyfriend, Felix Turner, is the author of The New York Times. Unfortunately, he is also ill. Ned establishes organizations for homosexuals and AIDS patients and actively seeks social attention. In short, this is a story about fighting and resistance, just like the slogan on the movie poster: "If you want to win a war, you must start a war first."
