Frontier inspection regulations

Article 1 In order to safeguard People's Republic of China (PRC)'s sovereignty and national security, and facilitate the passage of entry-exit personnel and vehicles, frontier inspection stations are set up at ports, airports, frontier inspection stations, tunnels and licensed import and export shores that are open to the outside world. Article 6 The captains of import and export vessels must declare the list of crew and passengers to the frontier inspection station and accept the inspection by the frontier inspection station.

Import and export vessels are not allowed to get on or off personnel or load or unload goods when sailing in People's Republic of China (PRC)'s territorial waters, ports and rivers.

Article 8 When a train enters or leaves the country, the conductor or conductor must report the train staff, the number of passengers and the formation of the train to the frontier inspection station, and accept the inspection by the frontier inspection station.

Inbound and outbound trains are not allowed to get on or off, load or unload goods or stop without reason when traveling between the national border and People's Republic of China (PRC) border station. Article 9 When automobiles and other motor vehicles enter or leave the country, the person in charge of the vehicle must declare the number of employees and passengers in the vehicle to the frontier inspection station and accept the inspection by the frontier inspection station.

Non-motor vehicles and caravans entering and leaving the country must be inspected by border checkpoints. Tenth entry and exit ships, planes, trains, cars and other means of transport carrying illegal immigrants or articles endangering the security of China, the person in charge of the means of transport must immediately report to the frontier inspection station for handling. Eleventh frontier inspection stations shall, according to the circumstances, deal with those who violate these regulations according to law. Article 12 These Regulations shall come into force as of the date of promulgation.
