Part II Three Gorges Immigrants

Tongzhuang River was flooded. Although he knew that this day would come sooner or later, 73-year-old Zheng Jiafa couldn't help crying.

The Three Gorges Dam impounded water, and the Tongzhuang River crossing Guojiaba Town in Zigui County rose. Zheng Jiafa, an immigrant who moved from the mountain to the mountain, opened the window and saw that the 100 mu of fertile land, which led the whole village to work hard for four years at the beginning of liberation, gradually disappeared into the water.

It has always been a complex that has accumulated in the hearts of China people for thousands of years. But for the sake of the national plan and the great cause of the nation, the children in the reservoir area bid farewell to their homes and make way for the Three Gorges Project. How can we forget?

1992 10, the construction preparation period of the three Gorges project. Party member Tan Dexun, a 70-year-old man from Yangguidian Village in Zigui, persuaded his four sons and his whole family, old and young, to tear down four big tile houses and move into temporary tents, which was the first relocation of millions of immigrants from the Three Gorges. Subsequently, the roaring excavator shoveled the first shovel of the Three Gorges Project on his demolished homestead. How can we forget?

In April 1995, peach blossoms are in full bloom. Forty-six descendants of Wang Zhaojun from Xiangjiadian Village in Zigui bowed to their ancestors' spirits with tears, and took a wooden boat down the river from Xiangxikou where Zhaojun entered the palace and moved to Wujiagang District of Yichang City. How can we forget?

Immigrated to Zheng Yuzhi, was about to give birth when moving, and finally gave birth to a child in a temporary tent, named Lusheng; Li Zishu, an immigrant, settled in Lingbao Village, Wujiagang. Her father, brother and sister moved to Zhijiang, and another brother moved to Yuan 'an. The family is divided into three parts. Dedication is a seed that spreads all over the banks of the Xiajiang River. During the 10 storm, there were countless touching stories about the relocation of immigrants in the Three Gorges reservoir area.

The reporter interviewed dozens of immigrants, and none of them said "I have contributed to the Three Gorges", but their names will always be engraved on the majestic Three Gorges Dam.

In 2002, CCTV selected "Touching China" as the person of the year, and millions of Three Gorges immigrants won special awards.

We are glad, we are proud, and we are respectable and lovely immigrants from the Three Gorges.
