The wax drum urges spring to enter the Year of the Rat, and the poisonous demon suddenly descends to cause harm to the world. The upper and lower parts of Jiangcheng were closed, and China sent aid from the west and east.

Warriors charge into dangerous situations, and white clothes control the epidemic and tide over the difficulties. Concentrate your strength with the Qianjun Sword, and defeat the God of Plague in triumph.

Selected Example 2 of Seven-Character Poems on Fighting the Epidemic:

The disease is raging in the new year, and everyone is united to protect Wuhan.

The military, civilians, doctors and nurses join hands to slay demons and overcome difficulties to create a new world.

Seven-character poetry, referred to as Qigu, originated from folk songs in the pre-Qin and Han dynasties. Among ancient poems, it is the most lively form, the most diverse genre, the freest processing of syntax and rhyme, and the most expressive lyrical narrative. A form of poetry in which each sentence has seven characters or mainly seven-character sentences.

There were very few seven-character poems in the Han and Wei Dynasties. They gradually developed from the Southern and Northern Dynasties to the Sui Dynasty. It was not until the Tang Dynasty that they became truly developed and became another major form of Chinese classical poetry.
