How to write a New Year’s Day party composition

Today is the day when our school holds the New Year's Day cultural performance, and it is also the last day of 20**. The next program is "Grateful Heart", which is a song with a meaning, explaining that we should be grateful for everything around us and thank them for the conditions they give us. The next show is "Descendants of the Dragon", followed by "My Microphone", the only show in our class that was selected. I know these performers are working hard, but I feel that the dances performed by the performers are not very good. The next program included the dance "Ten Minutes", "Unique", the instrumental solo "Edelweiss", the solo dance "Two People" and other programs. I can't remember too many programs.

In the afternoon it is time for each class to perform their cantata. Our class’s entry was "The Same Song". We had just finished the performance and I was very sure that we would win the first prize, but the awards were given at the end. When Teacher Li made the announcement, I was dumbfounded. Our class didn't even get the third prize. This incident taught me that I shouldn't make random claims without evidence.

Although I am not on the stage this year, I must work hard to practice the spoken English and piano well, and strive to be on stage next year.
