Evolution of Xiping Township

Formerly known as Xiping Street, it is said that Sanfangzhuang was originally named because of the surnames of Dong, Wang and Guo. With the growth of population, it was later renamed sanhe town, also known as Xixia Ping. 1936 was renamed xiping town, which belongs to Tongwei county. After liberation, it was classified as Gangu County as the ninth district. Xiping Township was established on 195 1 and Xiping Commune was changed on 1958. Later, it merged with Jinshan Commune and became Xiping District of Jinshan Commune. 1968 Commune reorganization, Yan array and other communes merged into Xiping Commune. Xiping Township was changed to 1983. 1996, with an area of1/6 square kilometers and a population of 16. It governs Shiping, Guojiawan, Maofengxia, Yaojiashan, Hongfangou, Majiashan, Ma Jiahe, Chen Jiawan, Zhuyangwa, Sifangzui, Haiziwan and Lianhuatai.
