Two Teenage Factories

On the eve of leaving my hometown, I took an afternoon to visit two teenage factories.

The first one visited was the Youth Factory of the private Wanshou Primary School in Taijiang District, Fuzhou City. Taijiang District is a handicraft area. The principal and counselor briefly introduced this small factory to me: there are 108 workers in the factory. The factory is organized by the director and deputy director. The office is divided into four parts, including the education department, engineering department, general affairs department and Custody unit; there are also four workshops, including electricians, carpenters, bamboo workers and sewing; each workshop has a director, engineer, technician and technician; the engineer is hired by a teacher or parent.

This is a small school, everything is small and cute! The little factory director, who was only twelve years old, took me to visit various workshops in a very serious and cheerful manner. We first entered a small room on the right side of the small courtyard. This was a sewing workshop. There were many young female workers crowded around the long table. Some were drawing paper patterns, some were cutting velvet, some were sewing... all Operating busily. There are many colorful velvet toys on the shelf, including little people, rabbits, chickens... They are all exquisite and beautiful. The director of the small factory told me that these were all "orders" for the school's kindergarten. We visited electricians, bamboo workers, and carpenters for a week. The workers in these workshops were very busy at work, and most of them were making "orders", such as small bamboo rulers and small bamboo signs. Small wooden boxes and so on. The little workers smiled with their little lips tightly closed, their little hands holding small tools tightly, and small beads of sweat on their little faces. They saw, chopped, drilled, and grinded. The sound of these tools played a symphony of labor.

When I said goodbye to them, the young workers gathered around and gave me many products from the factory: small cloth rabbits, small bamboo rulers, small wooden boxes... many small and cute things. , as a souvenir of our meeting.

From here we rushed to Fuzhou No. 4 Middle School in our district.

The Fourth Middle School is on a hillside near the river, with more than 1,400 students. The juvenile factory here is the first juvenile factory in Fuzhou City, with 110 workers. There are chief and deputy directors in the factory, and the organization department is divided into the human resources department and the security department; the finance department has accountants, cashiers and custodians; there are five workshops: electrical machinery, chemical engineering, civil engineering, aircraft modelling, and drawing. There are also technicians and engineers in the workshop and mechanics.

This school is a middle school, and this factory is the first juvenile factory in the city. The workers are older and the factory is older. Each workshop is filled with boxes and shelves of products, such as chemicals. Chalk, red and blue ink from the workshop...electric bells from the motor workshop...steam engine models from the woodworking workshop...aircraft models from the aircraft model workshop...etc., there are many kinds, and they are all learning or teaching tools. When schools purchase goods from factories, the prices are lower than those on the market, and small factories can still make some profits to expand production.

At this time, the New Year is coming. The chemical workshop is rushing to produce red ink for teachers to mark papers, and the drawing workshop is rushing to produce posters for the school, as well as pictures to celebrate the New Year... The workshops upstairs and downstairs are all busy. piece!

After the visit, the small factory director asked me to meet with all the workers and say a few words. Each workshop gave me so many gifts that I couldn't hold them in my arms. The children rushed to get things for me and carried me to the street down the hillside.

My return to my hometown this time is really rewarding! My heart is filled with fresh and happy memories of what I saw and heard in my hometown; my box is also filled with many gifts given to me by the children in my hometown - during my stay in Fuzhou, there were three young pioneer squadrons from three primary schools. , came to visit me.
