What is model airplane movement?

An aviation model is a prototype aircraft with size and weight restrictions. Aviation model movement is a kind of air movement in which self-made aviation models are released and manipulated to compete and record flights. This sport helps to cultivate people's interest in aviation, popularize aviation knowledge and technology, train aviation talents, develop intelligence and improve health.

1903, after the appearance of manned aircraft in the world, people gradually created competitive sports with special aircraft as the main content, including aviation model sports. Starting from 1926, the FIA holds international aviation model competitions every year.

China's model airplane movement has a long history. 1920 the aviation model newly developed by Gui Ming, a student studying in the United States, won 1 in the American competition. After 1949, the aviation model movement developed rapidly. Since 1956, national competitions have been held every year. From 1959 to 1970, China broke the world record 38 times, and by the end of 1980, they still held six world records. In the 1984 project, model airplane athlete Zhao Jihe broke the world record of the flying speed of the F2A-27 fly-by-wire model with a speed of 25 1.660 km/h. Shen Xilin broke the world record of F2A-29 at a speed of 326-382km/h in the competition. Zhu Younan won the T2-B class model airplane championship in the world boundary manipulation model airplane championship.
