What is the nature of Ping An Bank of China?

Ping An Bank is a national joint-stock commercial bank headquartered in Shenzhen (Shenzhen Stock Exchange: 000001). Its predecessor, Shenzhen Development Bank, was the first publicly listed national joint-stock bank in mainland China. Ping An Insurance Group of China and its holding subsidiaries hold a total of 58% of the Bank's shares and are the controlling shareholders of the Bank.
