A certificate of marital status issued by a Chinese notary office certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China (or an organ authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the embassy or consulate of China in that country, or a certificate of marital status issued by the embassy or consulate of China in that country.

(3) Foreign nationals must have:

1 my passport or proof of identity and nationality replaces my passport (except stateless persons);
