It is a deep canyon cut by Cretaceous volcanic rocks (rhyolitic crystalline tuff) and eroded by running water along faults and joints. The canyon is V-shaped, about 5 kilometers long and the height difference is over 400 meters. The mountains on both sides of the canyon are steep, the cliffs are towering, the valley bottom is 10-30 meters wide, and the valley slope is steep. The rushing Feishui River winds through the Grand Canyon, and shoals, deep pools, waterfalls and flying springs can be seen everywhere. There are more than 20 waterfalls in the canyon, with a drop of 76 meters, just like flying water in the sky and surging milky way. The waterfall is connected with the pool, which is very spectacular. The rocks are rugged, and interesting rocks pile up like mountains. The stream is crystal clear, sometimes roaring, and sometimes the microwave flows slowly. Huangdidong Beihu Reservoir is the second largest drinking water source in Fuzhou, and it is also a large artificial lake in Fuzhou. It is located between Rixi Township in Jin 'an District, Xiaocang Township in Lianjiang County and Huokou Township in Luoyuan County, with a water area of 6.8 square kilometers. Formerly known as Zishan Reservoir, it is named Beihu Lake because it is located in Beifeng, and Sheshan Lake because it flows through Jiashe Village.
