Shaanxi Archaeological Museum Worth Visiting

On the first day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, I made an appointment to go to Shaanxi Archaeological Museum a few days in advance. This is a museum that is still on trial operation. It's only been open for a month or two for a few weeks, and I can only see the remaining tickets of 0 every weekend. Finally.

It is a long way to open a new museum. In the past, I used to take the subway to the terminal, then transfer to the bus and take nearly 20 stops to get there. And there is only one bus, and there are fewer buses, almost every half hour. But I'm glad to stick to it and see this great museum.

The first floor of the museum is an introduction to archaeology, starting with the story of Tu.

Soil can be considered as the most important part of archaeology. As long as it is archaeology, it cannot be avoided. Different soil layers, different stories and different soils explain what happened here. Compacted soil reinforced the ancient tomb.

After explaining the earth, we began to show all the cultural relics rediscovered from the earth. At first, the monitor was covered with dust, which didn't look good. Basically, all kinds of brown pottery pots. In the eyes of grave robbers, this is waste, but in the eyes of archaeologists, this is the most precious historical confidante. These ordinary ancient daily necessities tell us how our ancestors lived. Especially those unpretentious tools, in my eyes, are ordinary stones. Archaeologists analyze the traces of each stone being processed and think about how their lifestyle thousands of years ago affected our later generations to be more skilled in processing and using tools.

The archaeological museum takes time as a line to string together the history of Shaanxi people. From the discovery of Lantian ape-man to Banpo site, there are written symbols. Then the existence of clan society was found in the tombs. Then I began to talk about the history from Qin Dynasty to Qing Dynasty. The ancient people's concept of death, which was buried with great care and regarded death as life, gave people a glimpse of past lives.

The last chapter is the introduction of archaeological discovery and restoration protection. The sense of science and technology and the meticulous work of archaeologists really test patience. There is an interactive game that simulates cleaning bronze mirrors. Generally speaking, since it is an interactive game, it is ok to clean up, but this game simulates the real working environment as much as possible, and the cleaning progress is extremely slow, which is really slow. This is just a little game. I'm a little impatient to simulate cleaning with a scraper, but archaeologists at work really clean with tools, and it takes weeks or even months.

Pay tribute to the ancients who told us about history, and to the archaeological researchers who worked tirelessly and patiently.

It's over. I'm really sorry. During the whole visit, some were careful, and some were cursory. There are too many knowledge points, so you need to brush more. Moreover, the Archaeological Museum is an introduction to the whole archaeological work, including the Mausoleum of Qin Shihuang, the Mausoleum of Tang Dynasty and the Mausoleum of Han Dynasty, but we still need to go to the corresponding mausoleums for a deeper understanding.
