Academician Chen Shilu of NPU was posthumously awarded the honorary title of “Model of the Three Qin Dynasties”.

The reporter learned yesterday (February 26) that our province posthumously awarded Academician Chen Shilu of Northwestern Polytechnical University the honorary title of “Model of the Three Qin Dynasties”. The "Three Qin Model" is a major advanced model in the province, a model practitioner of the core socialist values, a leader in the trend of the times, and the spiritual banner of the Shaanxi people.

April 24, 2016, my country’s first Space Day, one of the pioneers and founders of my country’s aerospace industry and aerospace education, a famous flight mechanics expert and educator, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Northwestern Polytechnical University Comrade Chen Shilu, professor and honorary dean of the Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, passed away.

It is understood that after the death of Academician Chen Shilu, Northwestern Polytechnical University carried out a series of themed educational activities to learn from Comrade Chen Shilu, established a report group on Comrade Chen Shilu’s advanced deeds, launched an exhibition of Comrade Chen Shilu’s advanced deeds, and compiled and published "Academician Chen Shilu's Advanced Deeds" Compilation of Materials on Advanced Deeds" and "A Glimpse of Comrade Chen Shilu's Advanced Deeds and Study and Propaganda", and produced a study CD of "One Jiazi's Perseverance". Report meetings and performance exhibitions were held successively for teachers and students of NPU, workers in the education system of Shaanxi Province, party members and cadres of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and directly affiliated units, many universities affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and many universities in Shaanxi Province. In order to better play the role of demonstration, guidance and encouragement of advanced models, on May 23, 2017, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology decided to posthumously award Comrade Chen Shilu the honorary title of "Model of Industry and Information Technology".
