By 2020, Chongqing will have jurisdiction over 26 municipal districts, 8 counties and 4 autonomous counties. Main urban areas: Yuzhong District, Jiangbei District, Nan 'an District, Jiulongpo District, Shapingba District, dadukou district, Beibei District, Yubei District and Banan District, commonly known as "the nine main urban areas".
Other counties: Wanzhou, Qianjiang, Fuling, Changshou, jiangjin district, Hechuan, Yongchuan, Nanchuan, Qijiang, Dazu, Tongliang, Bishan, Tongnan, Rongchang, Kaizhou, Liangping, Wulong, Chengkou, Fengdu, Zhongxian and Dianjiang. There are 38 county-level divisions.
