The ancient town is the home of people's homesickness. After vicissitudes and storms, it left behind a rich cultural accumulation. How many people have left their homes and gone out to work hard, no matter how many years have passed, the place where they grew up and the familiar people in Chang Zaixin are always warm feelings when they think of them.

Shenshi Township no longer exists. In 1957, Changshu County withdrew from the district and merged into Zhenmen Township, and Shenshi Township and Zhenmen Township merged into Zhenmen Township, but the ancient town of Shenshi still exists. For me, who likes ancient towns, villages and old streets, my colleague Yao, who was born in Shenshi, said that Shenshi is worth seeing.

When you are out of Changshu City, with the broadening of your vision, your heart will be clear. Emotions dance with the wind, and the smell of earth overflows the nose. Walking into the ancient town of Shenshi, it seems that I have suddenly returned to the old days. Because I am not familiar with asking for directions, I am regarded as a "savage" (foreigner) by local residents, because my birthplace is in the south gate of Changshu, and my accent is a little Suzhou.

Shenshi Town, also known as Shenjia City. According to legend, it was called "Zhujiajian City" earlier, but it was destroyed by Japanese pirates in the middle of Ming Dynasty. In the late Ming Dynasty, the market town was rebuilt on both sides of Xinjing (now called Shenshihe) on the southwest bank of Yantietang. At that time, there were more than 1 households, mainly Shen and Zhu, and it was named "Shenjia City" because of the strong surname Shen.

There is a large population in ancient Changshu, and there is a market where people gather. City means business, so there are small market towns such as Li City, Lu City, Dongzhou City, Guijia City and Shenyang City. Judging from the ancient commercial laws, whenever there is a road in a township, there will be people, and there will be a market for people, and so will small market towns. With the dredging of the Yantie pond, Shenyang City has become lively.

Shenjia City is located in the southeast of Zhenmenji Town, and Yantietang passes by the village. After a hundred years of wind and rain, the old streets have survived to this day, and now two old streets are left in a T-shape.

Nowadays, Shenjia City is rarely mentioned, because it is a water town in the south of the Yangtze River that is both too ordinary and too typical. It is dusty by the old man of time, and it is uncontested. Young people went out, leaving a few old people who didn't want to leave to continue their quiet and long life in the town.

as time goes by, the neighborhood here still remains the same as before and after the reform and opening up in the last century, with no commercial flavor, only plain face without makeup, plain face facing the sky, although old and shabby, it has a lingering charm of water town, which makes me feel her inside story, tolerance and feelings.

There are still many slogans from the Cultural Revolution on the walls, doors and floors. Although they are separated by quite a few years, the words are still clearly visible, which makes people feel as if they have returned to that fiery era.

The shop at the T-junction is locked with wooden doors that are too worn to see clearly, and a huge key model is hung on the door panel. This is a key repair shop, and the owner's surname is Meng. Last year, he went far away and never came back.

It seems that people living in ancient towns don't want to be accelerated by the pace of modern life outside, and maintain their own tranquility and serenity.

The decaying attic and mottled walls always make people feel that this kind of life is unsustainable. Although the barbershop, grocery store and noodle shop here are original, they are not just storefronts. They reflect a habit and a feeling of the people in the ancient town.

The old street is filled with a common warmth and unspeakable desolation. The noodle shop on the old street stayed in the old days, with no name and no name. Only the word "noodle shop" and the telephone number were written on the concrete wall at the door. The owner of this shop, surnamed Jin, moved here from Jinjiaba in his early years. The old couple run a noodle shop. Walking into the store, I can't help but think of being sent by my mother to run errands in the noodle shop when I was a child. When I saw the furnishings in the store, I instantly brought people back to my childhood. I wish I was still a teenager when I walked out of the store.

Old streets, houses and objects are the rings of a market town. Every brick, tile and knocker here all witness the changes of the years. Old houses and shops are or will eventually disappear, but their stories will not be lost, because this is our past and they were once beautiful.

The river of history has flowed for thousands of years, and Shenjia City has accumulated its own heritage and nurtured the residents here. The residents here are very calm, and the middle-aged old man walking with his head down is very slow, not like walking on the road, but more like wandering in the streets; Look at the old woman sitting on the small bamboo rattan chair at the door, staring at the sun and the moon; What are the two old men talking about in a leisurely way? They are as calm as the running water in the salt and iron pond.

Generally, people who come to the ancient town want to find a quiet place and enjoy leisure. In this ancient town, if you wait and disperse, it will be as dull as the people in the ancient town.

Go on until you come to the end of the market town. There are still few people, although few people, although silent, the fireworks of life are always here, and the light of history is still rising here.

A double-curved arch bridge built of red bricks across Yantietang was built in 197, and it is called the Anti-Repair Bridge. The name of the bridge has lost a lot of strokes. Standing in the middle of the bridge, looking at the river that I don't know where it comes from and where it is going, it seems that there is no end, and there is a daydream in my heart that life is too short to stop.

an old street is naturally accompanied by labels showing its development process. Shenshi was also a township-Shenshi Township, Changshu County. In the architecture of the old street, the theater under the anti-repair bridge is unique. In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, it was the seat of the township government of Shenjia City.

At that time, the fashionable way of dating was to watch movies together. I believe that many girls gave their first kisses on the way home after a movie. The once glorious theaters have gone through the process from bustling to with ever fewer chariots and horses at her door, and from prosperity to no longer having a name. However, the excitement and prosperity of that year remain in the memory of the old town people clearly and forever, and have become fragmentary memories and precious memories of a generation.

Go into Shenshi, a city outside Changshu, walk around the streets, take photos and record some. Maybe you will find a lot of "gold" in the ancient village, and she will make you happy. Shenjia City is a village with mystery, tradition, simplicity and story.
