Investigation report on social practice of traffic safety
With the rapid development of society and the continuous progress of economy, people have more and more spare money, and more and more private cars have entered people's lives. With the increase of the number of private cars, buses, buses, shuttle buses and vans. All kinds of cars have entered this society and spread all over the city. Although the progress and development of transportation have created and increased wealth for mankind and become an indispensable tool for human social and economic life, it has also made our transportation burden very heavy and greatly threatened people's personal safety. In 2009, a total of 23,835 1 accidents occurred in China, resulting in 67,759 deaths, 275 125 injuries and direct property losses of 9 1 10,000 yuan (appendix1). All kinds of tragic traffic accidents happen every day, and the reasons are diversified. In Huxian, my hometown where I grew up, I witnessed the development of traffic here, saw more and more vehicles and felt more and more heavy traffic pressure. But at the same time, I also found the contribution made by government departments to reduce the heavy traffic burden, so here I want to make a survey on the traffic safety situation in Huxian County.
After defining the topic, I found a lot of relevant information on the Internet and selected typical materials that are convincing to theoretical knowledge and well known to everyone. Try to search my brain and find out what I know about traffic safety. Then I went to Huxian Traffic Police Brigade and got some data of traffic accidents in Huxian in recent years: in 2005, there were 955 traffic accidents, including 34 deaths and 586 injuries, and the direct economic loss was 9 15680 yuan; In 2006, there were traffic accidents 1275, including 20 deaths and 579 injuries, and the direct economic loss was 835 100 yuan.
In 2007, there were 1 199 traffic accidents, of which 2 1 person died, 577 people were injured and the direct economic loss was 862,500 yuan.
In 2008, there were 1 163 traffic accidents, in which 22 people were killed and 548 people were injured, resulting in a direct economic loss of 997,780 yuan.
In 2009, there were 1 156 traffic accidents, including 25 deaths and 535 injuries, and the direct economic loss was 9 17800 yuan. In the first half of 20 10, there were 569 traffic accidents in our county, with 12 deaths and 247 injuries, resulting in direct economic losses of 446,000 yuan. And a very important internal information "Analysis and Judgment of Road Traffic Accidents in the First Half of 20 10 of Traffic Police Brigade of Huxian Public Security Bureau". In the traffic police brigade, I not only got very important information, but also learned more about traffic accidents and the difficulties of being a traffic police from my uncle. Traffic accidents are inevitable, and we can only try our best to reduce them. I spent a meaningful afternoon in the traffic police brigade and learned about the driving situation of two drivers. One is my uncle. He is almost 35 years old this year, but it has been 16 years. In his long driving career, there was basically no serious traffic accident, only one time he stayed up late. After midnight, because of his fatigue, he didn't even work smoking. As a result, the car drove off the road and hit the wheat pile. Fortunately, it didn't cause much damage. As a driver, my uncle has been very interested in cars since he was a child, and he knows a lot about the structure of cars and traffic safety. He has no experience in drunk driving, so I still admire my uncle and naturally become an example for me to learn. There is also an uncle who drives late. He has been driving for four years and has never had an accident. I felt very tired only once when I was driving. According to him, he doesn't even know which way to go or how to go. Originally, he went to the suburbs of Xianyang, but he drove to the city. Fortunately, there was no accident, and he had a good rest there before driving away. It can be seen that fatigue driving is very dangerous.
In the face of ruthless traffic accidents, human life is very fragile. It is necessary to know the characteristics of traffic accidents that may come at any time and really stay away from the threat of traffic accidents on the road, so we must find out the causes and characteristics of traffic accidents. Why are traffic accidents frequent? What are the main factors? I think it should be explained from the three main participants in traffic, namely roads, cars and people:
First of all, external factors, road conditions and vehicle road inspection are not in place, and urban planning is unreasonable. The road in Huxian used to be very narrow. With the development of economy and the increase of vehicles, many roads have been widened, but in some places, the road conditions are still the same as before. In addition, at some intersections, there are protruding road bags or sunken potholes on the road surface. There is no doubt that in sensitive areas where traffic accidents have occurred, uneven roads will definitely have a certain impact on drivers. Therefore, the relevant departments should quickly renovate it to make the road conditions better again. Maybe a small renovation can avoid a big traffic accident. The road surface of Huxian Street is inclined, that is, it is high in the middle and low on both sides, so every time it rains heavily, there will be water on both sides of the road, which will occupy the lanes of bicycles and other vehicles, and then non-motor vehicles such as bicycles and electric vehicles will move closer to the middle of the road. In this way, motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles are alternately crowded, and the realization of drivers will be greatly affected in rainy days. In this case, traffic accidents are very easy to happen. The reason why this happens is that stagnant water occupies non-motor vehicle lanes, and relevant departments should strengthen the management of drainage system to prevent stagnant water from affecting traffic and provide help for traffic accidents. I found that there are no traffic lights at some intersections in Huxian County. Although there is less traffic here, the speed is obviously faster. Traffic accidents often occur here, and there are also many motorcycle accidents. I think there should be traffic lights here. Yang Ling has done a good job in this respect. Yangling is a place with a small population and a large area. Although there are few cars around the city, there are indeed various road signs. The whole road is neat. There is often only one car waiting for the green light at the intersection, and I can't help but be moved by the driver's good driving habits. Seeing this situation, I thought: this is forcing people to run a red light! I'm sorry for not running the red light. Where there are few people and many cars, the traffic signs are neat, not to mention where there are obviously more cars here, and there are no traffic lights. Britain's roads are the safest in the world, its road facilities are the most perfect and advanced, and people have good driving habits. In developing countries, the incidence of traffic accidents is relatively high, especially in poor developing countries with mountainous roads. China is also in the ranks of traffic accident-prone areas. The state should strengthen road construction and vehicle management to minimize the impact of external factors on traffic safety.
Secondly, the traffic safety awareness of Chinese people is relatively poor. Road traffic safety is related to people's lives and is an important issue that people can't ignore. However, after more than 20 years of reform and opening up, people's ideological changes have been slow to respond only in road traffic safety. Once a serious traffic accident happens, newspapers, television and other media have reported it and publicized it widely. China people take an irrelevant and high-hanging attitude, or blame someone's bad luck. This idea is similar to numbness, which encourages China people's indifferent attitude of fines after traffic violations. Many people are not only ashamed of their own traffic violations, but also turn a blind eye to others' traffic violations, knowing that foreseeable traffic violations will endanger their own safety. Therefore, it is common to take overloaded and speeding cars and sick cars. Repeated traffic violations are not only a chronic disease of Chinese people. On May 1 2004, China promulgated and implemented the Road Traffic Safety Law, which raised all traffic violations to the legal level for regulation, and the traffic safety management department also stepped up its efforts to investigate and deal with them according to law. Although the total number of traffic violations is decreasing year by year, serious traffic violations still occur from time to time and are repeatedly prohibited. At some intersections in Huxian, I often see some people running red lights, feeling that they don't know or care what red lights are for, let alone other traffic signs. Also, I often hear the elders say to the younger generation: Don't be afraid to walk on the expressway. The car won't hit you. ? Now I think of these words and feel very chilling. Yes, you should be bold and cautious on the road. Whether you are a driver or a passer-by, this is all right, but the latter sentence will make the younger generation feel that they are not afraid of how to walk on the expressway. Anyway, the car dare not hit us. There are still many people with this mentality, so people walking in the street now are very casual and have no sense of security at all. Facing the opposite car honking, they will still cross the road slowly. This situation is not uncommon. On the road, we and pedestrians should be polite to each other to avoid traffic accidents as much as possible. In addition, many people have limited knowledge of traffic safety, and traffic signs on the road are rarely recognized, which will undoubtedly be some factors affecting traffic safety. I personally experienced a car accident. It was an afternoon when I was working as a van on 108 national highway. There are two students in front of me. The girl is on our right, the road is on the right, the boy is on our left, and the road is on the left. They are classmates. The girl waved to the boy to let him pass. The boy was ready to go over, looked at the cars coming on both sides of the road, and took the first step back. The driver of our car was ready to slow down, but when he saw that the boy had seen his car and was ready to avoid it, he didn't slow down, but suddenly the boy ran past? This led to an accident, but fortunately it was nothing serious. The boy was only scratched and his bike was damaged. People crossing the street should be careful. They should cross the street at once, but wait until there is no car. They should not be half-hearted and indecisive, which is likely to lead to accidents.
Finally, and most importantly, the problems of drivers and vehicles themselves lead to traffic accidents. Drunk driving and fatigue driving are very dangerous. There are countless traffic accidents caused by drunk driving, and there are also many life dangers and property losses. Everyone has seen the strict inspection and severe punishment of drunk driving by traffic police in big cities such as Xi' an, which shows that drunk driving poses a great threat to themselves and others. Fatigue driving is also very dangerous, not only for yourself, but also for passers-by. There are many painful lessons here. In February 10, 20 1 1, five students from Andoumen Middle School in Xi met unexpected troubles on the road and were knocked down by a truck, resulting in four deaths and 1 serious injuries. The main cause of this incident is the driver's fatigue driving. According to the driver's confession afterwards, he was already asleep. There is also an article in the corner, "The Top Ten Most Tragic Traffic Accidents in China this year". Among them, the top ten traffic accidents are relatively serious, with more than 30 people killed or injured, and all of them are caused by drivers' fatigue driving. There are also speeding and overloading. Some drivers have poor traffic safety awareness and immature driving skills. With more and more vehicles entering people's lives, there are more and more drivers, and the level and quality of drivers are mixed, which makes the occurrence of traffic accidents easier. It's midsummer, and drivers especially like to make some mistakes in hot weather: 1, and drive when they are sleepy. It's easy to get sleepy in summer, so we must resolutely put an end to this situation. 2. Wear slippers or high heels to drive. Wearing slippers or high heels in summer is cool, but it is undoubtedly long, and it is dangerous and easy to happen when driving? Foot error? Causing unnecessary traffic accidents. 3. Wear dark sunglasses to drive. Dark sunglasses will have a great impact on vision, but the driver's reaction becomes slow and it is easy to cause traffic accidents. 4. Don't wear a seat belt when driving. 5,? Fly into a rage? Drive. When drivers are impatient and impulsive, they are more prone to accidents. Drivers should never drive cars with potential safety hazards, which is very dangerous to others and themselves.
