The origin and significance of Dai Temple: Dai Temple was built in Qin and Han Dynasties, extended in Tang and Song Dynasties, and rebuilt many times in Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Architecture is the architecture that Han people worship the world, the sun, the moon, mountains and rivers and their ancestral countries, which embodies the characteristics of Han people as an agricultural national culture.

Dai Temple is located in the northern part of Tai 'an City, Shandong Province, at the southern foot of Mount Tai, commonly known as "Dongyue Temple". It is the largest and most well-preserved ancient architectural complex in Mount Tai, a Taoist temple, and a place where emperors of past dynasties held meditation ceremonies and offered sacrifices to the gods of Mount Tai. Daimiao City is full of tall buildings, magnificent temples, overlapping palaces and colorful weather.

Dai Temple was built in Han Dynasty, and by the time of Tang Dynasty, it already had a splendid hall. In Song Zhenzong, when a large-scale meditation ceremony was held, it was expanded and built, and the Tiangong was built, which was even more extensive. Its architectural style adopts the style of Royal Miyagi, with a perimeter of 1.500m. There are more than1.500 ancient buildings in the temple. Dai Temple, the Forbidden City, Qufu Sankong, chengde mountain resort and Waiba Temple are also called the four ancient buildings in China.

Dai Temple is surrounded by high-rise buildings, with eight gates in the periphery and five gates in the south, among which Zhengyang Gate is in the middle, Dongye Gate is on the left and Yanggao Gate is on the left. On the right is "West Gate", and on the right is "See the Gate"; The east is called "Donghuamen"; The west side is called "Xihuamen"; The north is a "thick door". There are Xun, Gen, Gan and Kun watchtowers in the four corners of Dai Temple.

The overall layout of Dai Temple is built according to the highest standard of memorial buildings since the Tang and Song Dynasties, and adopts a group layout, with three longitudinal axes as the main part and two horizontal axes as the auxiliary part, which is balanced and symmetrical and extends to both sides. Many main buildings are arranged on the central axis in the north-south direction in turn, and other buildings are symmetrical. Starting from Yaocan Pavilion, the gateway building outside the south gate of Daimiao, Daimiao Square, Zhengyangmen, Peitianmen, Ren 'anmen, Tiangong, Hou Jing Palace and Houzaimen are located on the central axis from south to north.

On both sides of the central axis, there are Hanbai Garden, East Jade Tower, Drum Tower, East Bedroom and East Garden on the east line. There are Tang Huai Courtyard, Yuhua Road Courtyard, Bell Tower, West Bedroom and West Garden on the west line, which are symmetrically distributed on both sides. Song Tianzhi Temple, the main building of Dai Temple, was built on the high platform behind the center of the temple, and it is called the three palace-style buildings in China together with the Hall of Supreme Harmony and the Dacheng Hall in Qufu.

The existing buildings in Dai Temple are mainly rebuilt and added since Ming and Qing Dynasties, and have maintained the architectural style since Song Dynasty. The whole building complex is magnificent, just like an imperial palace.
