Yunnan Normal University is a provincial key normal university with a long history and fine tradition, located in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province.
Yunnan Normal University was founded in 1938. Its predecessor was the Teachers College of National Southwest Associated University, which was jointly established by Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nankai University. 1946 After the National The National SouthWest Associated University was demobilized and returned to the North, the Teachers College of the General Assembly was independently established in Kunming and named as the National Kunming Teachers College. After liberation, it was named Kunming Normal College. 1April, 1984, with the approval of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government, it was renamed Yunnan Normal University. 1999 2 Yunnan Normal University merged with Yunnan Institute of Education and Yunnan Institute of Physical Education and reorganized Yunnan Normal University.
