Do I need to wear a helmet to ride an electric car?

Wearing helmets on motorcycles has become common sense of traffic safety, but many cyclists disapprove of wearing helmets on electric cars. In their view, electric cars usually just commute, with short riding distance and slow running. Wearing a helmet is too much trouble, just be careful. As everyone knows, danger is often hidden behind luck.

The new compulsory national standard for electric bicycles, Technical Specification for Safety of Electric Bicycles, came into effect on April 6, 20 19. The Opinions on Strengthening the Supervision of the Implementation of National Standards for Electric Bicycles also clearly stated that riding electric bicycles is encouraged to wear helmets. But from the reality, riding an electric car and wearing a helmet is far from becoming a daily habit and behavioral consciousness.
