In the later period of Tang Wenzong, Li Deyu, then the observer of western Zhejiang, presided over the reclamation of western Zhejiang. Today, Quemuqiao area was the command center of Jiahe reclamation at that time. Li Deyu presided over the construction of water conservancy here, reclaimed land and planted rice, and achieved a bumper harvest three years later.

Jiahe is a glimpse, Jianghuai is healthy;

Jiahe apologizes, Jianghuai is frugal.

It is said that the bumper harvest of grain attracted white finches to live here. Later, the white sparrow died in the local area, and people built a tomb for it, so this place was called the sparrow's tomb.

Who's Li Deyu? Li Deyu is a typical official of three generations, his father is a prime minister, and Li Deyu's grandfather and Cha Sheng Lu Yu are good friends. Influenced by his family, Li Deyu loved tea all his life, even absurd. It is said that during his tenure as prime minister in Beijing, Li Deyu used his authority to send someone to take water from Huishan in Wuxi and seal it, and transported it all the way for thousands of miles.

Due to the defeat of the party struggle, Li Deyu was transferred from Hanlin Bachelor to Zhejiang West Observer. As General Patton said, the measure of a person's success is not his brilliance at the peak, but his resilience when he falls from the peak to the bottom.

During his tenure as an observer in western Zhejiang, Li Deyu did not give up on himself. He presided over the reclamation in Jiahe, that is, he set up a construction corps to grow rations. During this period, Li Deyu's political achievements were quite good and the people loved him. After Tang Wuzong succeeded to the throne, Li Deyu was able to return to the temple and become prime minister again. After that, he saved the day and ushered in a revival in the late Tang Dynasty.

After Li Deyu's death, all dynasties spoke highly of him. Li Shangyin praised him as a "forever good man", and Liang Qichao listed him as one of the six great politicians in China along with Guan Zhong, Shang Yang, Zhuge Liang, Wang Anshi and Zhang Juzheng.

1972 When the bridge was built, a group of black pottery from Liangzhu culture period was excavated, which was Neolithic pottery, about 4000 years ago.

Black pottery was first discovered in Liangzhu Town, Yuhang, Zhejiang Province in 1936, hence the name Liangzhu Black Pottery. After further excavation and textual research, it is found that there are three different periods of cultural accumulation in Quemuqiao area, which correspond to Songze culture, Liangzhu culture and ancient Wuyue culture respectively.
