Brief introduction of Changchun Temple in Wuhan

Changchun Temple in Wuhan is a Taoist temple with a very strong cultural atmosphere. It is not far from the famous Yellow Crane Tower. There are many Taoist priests living in it. The ticket seems to be 10 yuan. I feel that there is not much space inside, so I can just walk around. There are also scholars who can practice martial arts. Let's share with you the travel strategy of Changchun Temple in Wuhan.

Changchun Temple is located in Dadongmen, Wuchang District, Wuhan, with convenient transportation. There is a big bus stop next to the Taoist temple, not far from the subway station. But before traveling to Wuhan, I haven't seen any travel notes about it.

I came to Changchun Temple only because I happened to live nearby. Later, I learned that Changchun Temple is not far from the Yellow Crane Tower. It is not only one of the top ten famous Taoist jungles in China, but also known as the "blessed land in the south of the Yangtze River" and the only Taoist temple in Wuhan.

The history of Changchun view has always been hidden in its name. It is said that Laozi, the ancestor of Taoism, once came here. In the Yuan Dynasty, Qiu Chuji came here to build a monastery. Because of its name Changchun, later generations called it "Changchun View". Since then, Changchun Pass has gradually developed into the most famous Taoist jungle in Hubei and even the whole country. The so-called "Chujiang Famous Area, where Taoist priests gather" was once brilliant.

In the first year of Xianfeng in Qing Dynasty (185 1), the concept of Changchun was destroyed by the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. 13 later, He Hechun, the 16th generation master of Quanzhen Longmen School, came here from Wudang Mountain and reconstructed the concept of Changchun according to the style of Ming Dynasty. Therefore, most of the buildings we see now were built in the Qing Dynasty.

Because it is located on the south side of Shuangfeng Mountain, Changchunguan has formed rows of spectacular architectural communities across the mountains. From a height, the roads outside the Taoist temple are full of traffic and high-rise buildings, and this quiet place hidden in the downtown area may have become less and less.

There are many ancient trees in the Taoist temple. It was early spring, plants sprouted and trees were renewed. Ancient trees and ancient buildings accompany each other, set each other off and have a quiet time. I saw several ancient trees in front of the abbot's hall, leaving "little yellow flowers" all over the floor. I have never seen such a tree with "little yellow flowers" fall in spring. There is a famous brand hanging on it. Take a closer look, it turns out that this tree is called Coral Park, and the surrounding trees are all ancient and famous trees in Wuhan, which has a history of one hundred years.

The Taoist priest in Guanzhong is quietly cleaning, and the broom sweeps the ground and rustles. There is a different silence. In this situation, I can better understand the poetic realm of "cicadas singing in the forest and Tongshan being more secluded".

There are "three wonders" in Changchun Temple, one of which is the only Taoist building in China with European architecture as the main body-Daozang Pavilion. The cement "plastic pile" flower decoration on the eaves of this building has been lost, which is a must in China.

Second, the word "Gan Tang" was personally inscribed by Qianlong in front of the Taoist Pavilion. Gan Tang is a Huaxia folk song in the pre-Qin period, and it is one of the songs in The Book of Songs Zhao Nan. The inscription of the emperor is rarely seen in China's Taoist temple. This rare Qianlong stone tablet is also known as one of the "three wonders" of Changchun Temple.

The third picture is an astronomical panorama embedded in the wall of Gongde Hall next to Qizhen Temple, which is still of great reference significance to modern astronomical research in China.

I didn't meet any tourists when I visited Changchun Temple, but I happened to meet the blessing ceremony in Taiqing Hall, which was quite large. I don't know much about Taoist ceremonies, but I think the music played in the ceremony is very nice, so I stood quietly outside the door and listened for a long time. It is said that the Changchun concept is very effective. Although there are not many tourists, there are many pilgrims, and the incense has been very prosperous. It seems to be true.

During my trip to Wuhan, I was deeply impressed by the ancient concept of Changchun. This quiet place in the city center is worth visiting.
