As a routine work included in the annual plan, an air defense warning trial will be organized in Shanghai (except Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao International Airport), and air defense drills will be organized in combination with the trial, and centralized publicity activities will be carried out simultaneously in the city.

According to the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) on National Defense Education, the 23rd meeting of the 9th NPC Standing Committee in China decided to designate the third Saturday of September as National Defense Education Day. The National Defense Education Day is jointly organized by the central government, the State Council, local government departments and military organs at all levels, with unified arrangements and wide participation from all walks of life.
