Yu Jingchuan's Yu Jingchuan and Space Art

In the vast and deep universe, an "aerospace plane" flew from the space city to the earth. Yu Jingchuan named this incredible painting "Scheduled Flight". "In the future, people will be able to fly freely in the universe with the help of airplanes, just as it is convenient to fly from one city to another today." Yu Jingchuan, 30, said here, his eyes shining.

"Space art"-this kind of creation which combines science and art, was first created by astronomers. 1609, Galileo first observed space with a telescope in human history, and left the first celestial sketch "The Moon Map". In the past, there were China portrait bricks depicting the starry sky in China, such as Asahi and the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon. However, those paintings are related to fairy tales, and modern space art is scientific and rational.

During the period of 1984, researcher Ethan, a famous popular science writer in China, held a "Cosmic Art Exhibition" in the Beijing Planetarium, and Yu Jingchuan lingered during the exhibition. From then on, he began to use gouache, watercolor and pigment as raw materials to create exquisite space art works by using pen-spray technique. Beautiful nebulae, brilliant galaxies, two long rockets launched into the air and astronauts landing on the moon all became the objects of his description. American Newsweek chose one of his oil paintings, Future Chinese Astronauts Landing on the Moon.

In the humble office of Xuanwu District Youth Science and Technology Museum, Yu Jingchuan said cheerfully that "Space Art" is an excellent popular science textbook for young people. Mr. Ethan himself happened to see the space art works published by American painter Bang Esther in Life Pictorial on the street of 1944 Chongqing, and he became fascinated with astronomy from then on.

Yu Jingchuan not only continued to weave his childhood dream of space travel, but also spread the seeds of this dream to the hearts of contemporary children. ...
