Yangjiafenshan site is located in the south slope of Yangjiafenshan on the north side of Yaomenhe Reservoir Dam in Caodian Township, Huanglong County, southeast of Yan 'an City. It is surrounded by Yaomen River in the east, south and west, and backed by mountains in the north, with steep terrain. This is a paleolithic site. The skull fossil of "Huanglongren" 1975 was unearthed here. The fossil retains the frontal bone and parietal bone, with thick bone wall, backward forehead and blunt orbital margin. It is an adult male skull, belonging to late Homo sapiens, about 30,000 to 50,000 years ago. The original is in vertebrate paleontology Institute of Paleoanthropology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Beipo site

Beipo Site is located in the west of Beipo Village, Sancha Township, Huanglong County, southeast of Yan 'an City. It is a Neolithic site, and a large number of pottery pieces can be seen on the surface, such as argillaceous red pottery, red pottery with sand, argillaceous gray pottery and gray pottery with sand. Decorative patterns mainly include painted pottery, plain surface, rope pattern, pile pattern, basket pattern and so on. There are pointed bottom bottles, pots, bowls, cans, etc. One of the painted pottery pots is fine clay red pottery, which is brick red and dark brown, and the decorative pattern is deformed fish pattern. The pointed bottom bottle mouth is a double-lipped bell mouth. The cultural connotation of the site is from Yangshao culture to Longshan culture, and its upper limit is the Banpo type of Yangshao culture.

Zhaiguanshan site

Zhaiguanshan site is located in the north Zhaiguanshan, Sanlipu Village, Anding Town, Zichang County, northern Yan 'an City, on the second gentle slope north of Mahe River. Belonging to the Neolithic site, there are fragments of stoneware and stone sickle, a large number of painted pottery pieces, red pottery with sand, gray pottery and so on. On the ground, the living surface is clearly visible, with pottery kiln sites and cultural layers. The pottery kiln is 3.5 meters high and 2.3 meters in diameter. The burnt soil is very hard, and there are many pieces of pottery in the kiln.
