This couplet of Badashanren was taken away by the Japanese invaders.

August 15 is Japan's defeat day. 1945 On this day, Japan declared its unconditional surrender, and the surrender zone set up by the Kuomintang in Shanghai recovered many precious cultural relics captured by the Japanese, among which the five-character couplet "Mo Bao" written by Badashanren was one.

Couplets are the five words and deeds of Badashan people: "Chun Zhu is old in the deep room, and the rain is sparse at night." Vertical 175cm, horizontal 33cm, rice paper texture. The next one is "Badashanren", with two seals of "Badashanren" Bai Wen and "Heyuan" Zhu Wen, but there is no year. The inscription on the back of the couplet frontispiece is "Mo Bao, the old eight mountains in Chun Zhu, Shenfang" and "Mao Yidong's lost building in Mo Bao, the old eight mountains in the drizzle night". The label is made of silk, old, dark brown and slightly peeled off.

According to the preliminary appraisal by experts, this couplet is eight original works, made in his later years, with a history of nearly 300 years. Most of Badashan people's paintings and calligraphy are undated, so how can we know the age of their paintings? Anhui Provincial Museum 1 1 paintings and calligraphy works have no year. But from the style, signature and seal habits, experts can still clearly distinguish the age of the work. For example, Zhu Da wrote the name "Badashanren" as "Laughing and Crying", which was used until he was 59 years old and died at the age of 80. Among them, the word "eight" from 60 to 68 years old is written in the form of ">: < From 69 to 80 years old, write two points in the word "eight"; In his later years, he used the "He Yuan" seal more. So from the style of this couplet, the writing of the inscription and the use of the seal, we can see that this is exactly what he did after he was 70 years old.

There is also a special seal on this couplet, which has aroused the interest of appraisers, because it has never been seen in calligraphy and painting works before the Eighth National Congress. That is, in the lower right corner of the upper couplet and the lower left corner of the lower couplet, each cymbal has a corresponding seal. The seal is rectangular, 4.3 cm long and 2.8 cm wide. The seal is made of Zhu Wen seal script, arranged in four straight lines, each line is 60 words, and there are 24 words: "The Shanghai Overseas Chinese Management Office of the Three Armies accepts the antique seal presented by Japanese overseas Chinese". It turned out that1after Japan announced its surrender on August 5, 945, the Kuomintang divided the China war zone into 15 surrender zones, in which Nanjing and Shanghai were the seventh surrender zones, and Tang, the third army, was the chief surrender officer, instructing the Japanese to concentrate on Nanjing and Shanghai for surrender. Mo Bao returned to China in this way, and was engraved with the "Antiquities Chapter".

The Return of Mo Bao records the history of the defeated country.
