The state encourages reporting of organized crime

Organized crime refers to all organized organized crime activities intentionally carried out by three or more people.

Before the 20th century, organized crime mainly appeared in the form of family self-defense. By the 20th century, with the disintegration of the family, it gradually evolved into a professional crime tied to economic interests and restricted by social, political and economic forms.

On December 24, 2021, the 32nd meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress voted to adopt the "Law of the People's Republic of China against Organized Crime".

Everyone has a responsibility to fight against organized crime

1. All units and individuals have the obligation to assist and cooperate with relevant departments in carrying out anti-organized crime work. The state provides protection in accordance with the law to units and individuals that assist and cooperate with anti-organized crime efforts.

2. The state encourages units and individuals to report organized crime. Units and individuals who report organized crime or make outstanding contributions in anti-organized crime work shall be commended and rewarded in accordance with relevant national regulations.
