Environmental Protection Initiative

The ecological environment is a necessary condition for human survival. Protecting the environment is to protect ourselves.

In the new century, we long for a beautiful earth, a green home, a clear blue sky, and fresh air. However, due to human beings' wanton destruction, pollution, and waste, the earth has become riddled with holes and bruises. Human beings have been punished by nature and have gradually realized the importance of environmental protection. In my hometown of Luchuan, a Jiuzhou River runs through the county. I heard from the old man that the water of Jiuzhou River used to be crystal clear, and hot springs continued to gush out from the beaches along the river, attracting tourists from all directions. In summer, people often went to the river to swim. Now, the Jiuzhou River has become a "sewage river". The river water is turbid and smelly, and all kinds of garbage are floating on the river surface. The hot springs have been greatly reduced and need to be pumped up. People no longer dare to swim in the river. Isn't this the consequences of people destroying the environment? We should learn lessons, protect the environment, clean the environment, and beautify the environment. Starting from me, starting from now, for the earth, for the future of mankind, and for us to always have a beautiful living environment, I sincerely wish to everyone Issue the following initiatives:

1. Let's work together to build a "saving society", save a drop of water, save a kilowatt hour of electricity, and save a piece of paper. Save water, tighten the faucet in time after using water, avoid turning on the faucet, and encourage washing hands and faces with a basin; save electricity, turn off the power of electrical appliances when not in use; save paper, use handkerchiefs and rags, and try to use paper on both sides.

2. To reduce air pollution and save energy, try to use public transportation, bicycles or walking.

3. In order to protect natural resources such as forests and minerals, try to purchase products made of recycled materials that can be used multiple times for a long time; reduce the use of disposable paper cups, disposable wooden chopsticks and lunch boxes.

4. Reduce the use of plastic bags, which are the culprit of white pollution.

5. Economic development cannot be at the expense of environmental destruction. Economic development and environmental protection must be placed on the same footing.

6. Strengthen environmental publicity and education, cultivate environmental awareness from an early age, and actively participate in environmental protection activities.

7. Consciously protect the ecological environment and actively participate in greening and beautification activities.

There is only one earth, and her life is fragile. We cannot make our already fragile body even more fragile because of our rampant behavior and immeasurable acquisition for the sake of immediate development and small benefits. Fragile! Remember, to protect the earth is to protect ourselves!
