The emblem and motto of Hogwarts School of Wizardry

The motto of Hogwarts is Draco Dormiens Nun Quanm Titillandus, which is Latin for "Never tease a sleeping dragon". Whether this motto is determined by the founder's personal experience is unknown. The school emblem is a very typical badge, and the shield-shaped part in the middle is called heraldry (see heraldry for details). It consists of the red golden lion (Gryffindor), the blue bronze eagle (Ravenclaw), the yellow black badger (Hufflepuff) and the green silver snake (Slytherin) symbolizing the four colleges, and surrounds the initial letter H of Hogwarts. The shield is surrounded by decorative parts, mainly two ribbons with the name and motto of the school written on them. These two parts are collectively called decoration. The Hogwarts Express and other places have Hogwarts badges.

A friend of mine in London recently asked me if I remember the first time we met Hogwarts. I didn't know what she was talking about until she reminded me that we went to the Royal Botanical Garden that day and saw those lilies. Their names are Hogwarts. I met them seven years ago, and they rolled in my memory. When Hogwarts came to my mind as the name of the school, I didn't know where the idea came from. "Most of JK's inspiration comes from this.
