The net weight on the weighing list is not VGM.

VGM= gross weight of goods+tare weight of container. Generally speaking, the tare weight of the container will be marked on the back door of the container.

Net weight refers to the weight of the commodity itself, that is, the actual weight of the commodity after packaging is removed. Net weight is the most commonly used weighing method in international trade.

Precautions:

1. The shipper needs to provide the weight of the container.

2. Two weighing methods have been approved to determine the weight of containers.

3. The terminal operator must ensure that the weight of the container is verified before boarding.
