I am Satisfied’s mother. My Satisfied child is 2 years old and 2 months old. I have read more than 400 picture books. I continue to share my experience in parent-child reading.

As a bilingual picture book library with a collection of nearly 5,000 picture books and children's books, with 2 years of experience in reading 1,00 picture books, and a working mother with a "Senior Reading Instructor" certificate, I want to use this online platform , share experiences and exchange experiences with more parents and friends who are on the road to parent-child education.

The most beautiful sound in the world is the sound of a mother reading to her child. We always firmly believe that children fed with "books" love to think, learn, and are not rebellious!

Generally speaking, when children are 0-3 years old, they will be more dependent on their mothers, and their sense of security comes more from their mothers, whether it is life needs or learning needs. The same goes for "satisfied" children. Their favorite thing is to sit in their mother's arms and listen to picture books. However, as children get older, especially girls, father's company is irreplaceable in cultivating her courage, courage, and independence.

Fortunately, the participation rate of satisfied fathers in "raising children" should beat more than 50% of fathers. Judging from my family’s practical combat experience, “reading picture books with you” is a very good way for fathers to participate in raising their children. If the child is interested and does not resist, 15-20 minutes a day does not need to be too long. Dad also has the time and patience to enjoy the quality time of parent-child company. I am satisfied that my father will accompany me to read picture books almost every day. Although the level is still a bit "poor" [laughing and crying], he persists very well.

When it comes to this, mothers will definitely say that it is someone else’s father again. My father has a lot of social activities and works every day, and he has no patience, and his children don’t read with him. In fact, the method for dad to accompany you to study is very simple. Based on my own experience, I have summarized the following 4 points, which are simple and crude for your reference.

1. Children: We must first let children fall in love with reading and develop good reading habits. Children's reading habits are cultivated, firstly, by choosing good picture books, and secondly, by their mother's persistence and companionship. I can create a special topic to write about this later. In short, children must first get used to and fall in love with reading time with their parents.

2. Dad: I agree that dad is busy at work and under great pressure at work, and I agree with the objective fact that "mother is in charge of the inside and father is in charge of the outside" when the child is in preschool. Have a deep talk with your father and achieve a deep understanding of the importance of parent-child companionship. That is, you are busy, and the mother can take care of the child's growth, but parent-child companionship is important to the child and the father, and you must participate, even if it is a simple participation.

3. Mobilize the whole family: Set the time for dad to accompany you to study. Reading picture books with you is the simplest, most direct, and most effective way to accompany your father. Take 15 minutes every day to put down your mobile phone. As a ritual, the whole family can do it together. It’s not that difficult!

"Dad's reading time", on the one hand, gives the child and the father more parent-child interaction time and higher-quality companionship, which is of great benefit to the child's character development; on the other hand, it also gives the mother We were on vacation, and as bystanders, we watched the touching scene of a loving father and a filial son, while I read a favorite book and enjoyed it.

4. Choose good picture books: In the early stages of reading with dad, you can choose picture books related to dad to accompany you. Guide fathers to fulfill their responsibilities and guide children to fall in love with their father’s time reading with him. For example: My dad; Sometimes I like dad very much; Dad, why is this; Dad takes me to see the universe and other warm-hearted picture books. You can also choose some very educational picture books, such as: The Story of the Zhu Family; Gorilla, etc. Through picture books, tell dad the importance of parent-child companionship and participation.

I have read all of the above picture books to my satisfaction and like them all very much. In particular, there is a small plot in "The Story of the Zhu Family". After the mother left home, the father and the children turned into piglets, and there was a shadow of a big bad wolf outside the door. When we were reading the picture book, none of us noticed that the satisfied child pointed to the back of the door with a surprised look on his face and said, The big bad wolf is coming and is going to eat the piglets! My father and I were stunned by the child's observation and participation.

There are many more stories about reading with parents and children, and now I recall them with smiles in my heart. Children grow up really fast, just in an instant. Looking back, if my father could have been more involved, there would be no regrets! [Love]
