At present, there are about 850 million patients with kidney disease in the world.

Chronic kidney disease can cause at least 2.4 million deaths every year, ranking 1 1 in the global mortality rate.

At present, there are more than 1.5 million uremic patients in China, and the number of new uremic patients is 1.2- 1.5 million every year.

The second Thursday of March every year is World Nephropathy Day. The theme of this year's Kidney Disease Day is "Everyone enjoys kidney health", aiming at calling for universal health coverage to prevent and treat kidney diseases at an early stage.

So, how to care for kidney health?

Any professor in charge of the Department of Nephrology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine pointed out that following the eight golden rules can obviously reduce the risk of kidney disease.

Regular work and rest, exercise, cultivate a healthy lifestyle, participate in jogging, swimming, cycling, walking and other activities, and also practice meditation and yoga to maintain a healthy mentality and ensure the health of the kidneys.

Diabetic nephropathy has become the second leading cause of end-stage renal disease.

Diabetic nephropathy is more difficult to treat than other kidney diseases, and timely prevention and treatment is of great significance to delay diabetic nephropathy.

Monitor blood sugar regularly and seek medical advice in time to avoid or delay the occurrence of diabetic nephropathy.

At present, there are more than 330 million hypertensive patients in China. If you are in a state of hypertension for a long time, the kidney will have ischemic lesions, impaired renal function, and even develop into uremia.

In case of dizziness, headache or nocturia, it is necessary to monitor blood pressure, check urine routine and renal function, so as to achieve early detection and treatment.

Choose fresh and healthy foods, such as vegetables, fruits, fish, nuts and lean meat. Avoid junk food.

Pay attention to the diet, control the weight within the highest weight range according to the healthy weight scale, and keep the kidney healthy.

The salt intake of adults is kept at about 6g every day. Excessive intake will have a great impact on hypertension and nephropathy.

Pay attention to late salt, vinegar, less sugar and limit the ingredients of salty food. If you already have kidney disease, you need to use low-sodium condiments carefully.

According to Professor He, the daily intake of water by adults is about 2,500 ml, and the intake of water should generally be balanced with the daily discharge of the human body.

Generally speaking, the amount of water discharged consists of the following parts: 1500ml (average daily urine output of adults) +800ml (skin and respiratory tract output)+100 ~ 200ml (feces) =2500ml.

The daily diet contains about 1000ml of water, so besides eating, you need to drink about 1500ml of water.

If each glass of water is 200ml, about 6 ~ 8 glasses of water can meet the needs of human metabolism.

Studies have shown that nicotine in cigarettes can increase glomerular filtration rate, change renal tubular function, increase urine output and accelerate the deterioration of chronic kidney disease.

In addition, smoking has an impact on hypertension and diabetes, which can indirectly lead to the deterioration of kidney condition. The longer the smoking history, the more serious the kidney damage.

As the saying goes, "it's a three-point poison."

Every year, 2.5 million patients in China are hospitalized due to adverse drug reactions. As one of the important organs of drug metabolism and excretion, the probability of kidney injury is greatly increased.

Therefore, we should try to eat as little over-the-counter drugs as possible, standardize the use under the guidance of a doctor when necessary, and always pay attention to the changes in urine.

Abnormal renal function, especially chronic renal injury, often has no conscious symptoms and needs blood test.

If there is persistent and tiny foam in urine, or urine color changes, urine is too much or too little, nocturia increases, edema, etc. Be sure to see a doctor in time.
