What is SOS signal?

SOS is an international rescue signal. In the past, when ships sailed on the ocean, they were often in danger of being robbed by pirates or sinking on rocks. However, due to language barriers and different rescue signs in different countries, it is difficult to get quick rescue. In view of this situation, at the international radiocommunication conference held in London, England in 19 12, the participants unanimously agreed to choose 3.3 horizontal dots (…-) in Morse code created by American telegraph inventor as the signal of international rescue. In Morse code, the code name of S is three points and O is three horizontal lines, so people call the international distress signal "SOS" for short. 19 12, when the titanic, a large cruise ship, was killed on the voyage, the operator on board sent a "SOS" rescue signal to the passing ships.

Because of the meaning and internationality of "SOS", it was later popularized and gradually became synonymous with the help of European and American countries. For example, when members of the Western European Peace Organization protested that the two superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union, were vying for hegemony in space, causing serious pollution in space, they held high placards with the English letter "SOS" and shouted to people: "Save our space" (meaning "save our space").
