An excellent airborne troop of China Air Force.

1On June 26th, 1969, President Mao Zedong gave an important instruction: "Airborne troops should be seriously engaged, and they should be done in a proper way. If they are not rich, they will be rich." After that, 15 Airborne Force began to enrich personnel, planes and paratroopers, and expanded its helicopter regiment. Although the aircraft at that time was not enough to form the ability of airborne operations, skydiving training was dragged back to a new height.

1975 and 1985, 15 airborne troops were reorganized twice, the proportion of infantry was greatly reduced, and the proportion of technical arms was increased from 17% to 43%. The army is equipped with advanced weapons such as howitzers, anti-tank missiles and air defense missiles, but it still lacks large and medium-sized transport aircraft capable of carrying heavy weapons and equipment.

In the early 1990s, the Central Military Commission listed airborne troops as emergency mobile combat troops, which accelerated the development of airborne troops. A number of new aircraft, new umbrellas and new artillery have joined the airborne troops in succession, enabling airborne troops to carry out large-scale airborne combat missions. In 20 13, China airborne troops were mainly equipped with domestic Yun -8 and Yun -7 small and medium-sized transport planes and Russian-made Il -76 large transport planes, as well as domestic Zhi -8, Zhi -9 and Russian-made Mi -8/ 17 helicopters. Umbrella mainly includes the second generation paratroopers (paratroopers 9), parafoil, powered parachute and heavy umbrella. Mainly include122mm towed howitzer,122mm 40-wheeled rocket launcher,120mm self-propelled howitzer,100mm and120mm mortar,105mm recoilless gun, etc. The air defense and anti-tank weapons mainly include 37mm double-tube self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, 25mm double-tube towed anti-aircraft gun, Red Sakura -5 and Vanguard-1 individual portable air defense missile and Red Arrow -8 anti-tank missile. China airborne troops are also equipped with paratroopers assault vehicles to carry out quick assault operations.

In line with the development of weapons, China Airborne Forces has made great efforts to cultivate a talent team with complete categories, excellent quality and step-by-step connection. 1In June, 1999, the Air Force Academy established the Airborne Forces Department to undertake the training of airborne officers and the rotation training of active officers. 20 13 all the cadres above the airborne regiment have reached the university education level, and some have reached the master's degree. A number of new high-quality commanders who can fly in the air, fight on the ground, command comprehensively and manage at ordinary times are emerging.

20 1 1 airborne troops vigorously implement the strategic policy of the military commission in the new period. In view of the characteristics of operations under high-tech conditions, they successively went north to Changbai Mountain for field survival training in cold regions, went south to Sichuan and Guangxi, and went west to Qinghai and Tibet for "three highs" trial training and pulling drills, and conducted special environments such as water, forests, plateaus, islands, hills, cold regions and subtropics. As well as new models, new parachutes, and reloading airdrops, we organized airborne combat drills such as airborne airdrops, paratroopers' penetration attacks, and parachutes' aerial obstacle-crossing attacks. 20 13 airborne soldiers, from commanders to soldiers, regardless of gender, age and position, have generally mastered the skydiving skills in eight subjects, including five types of aircraft, nine kinds of terrain, double umbrellas and full armed equipment. In terms of day and night, special terrain, armed parachuting, field survivability, etc., the team's trial training results are gradually transformed into the combat effectiveness of the whole battalion.

20 13 China airborne troops have developed into a modern special force composed of more than 10 arms, including artillery, engineers, scouts, anti-chemical soldiers and missile troops, and dozens of specialties closely cooperate with each other. He has successively completed airborne combat drills under complex terrain and meteorological conditions such as islands, Gobi, plateaus, water networks, mountain jungles, nighttime and super wind speed, and has been praised by the leaders of the Military Commission for many times.

Modern three-dimensional warfare requires modern airborne troops to transcend any ground obstacles and carry out long-range raids and all-round rapid maneuvering operations. Special arms, special missions, must be particularly capable of fighting. On the vast snowfield of Daxing 'anling, airborne troops quickly assembled after parachuting, breaking ice to fish, beating livestock with sticks, melting snow into water, and burning firewood to make a fire. They survived in the wild for dozens of days and nights, and completed three training courses, such as going deep into enemy lines, quickly inserting, dividing and destroying the enemy.

On the 100,000 mountain in southern Guangxi, the paratroopers jumped into the mountain jungle as soon as they landed, scaring grass, cutting vines to clear the way, playing in water and climbing cliffs, and successively climbed over more than 50 mountains and 9 cliffs, completing more than 10 field training courses.

On the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the roof of the world, airborne troops marched with heavy loads after landing and made continuous assaults, overcoming many obstacles caused by altitude sickness.

In the South China Sea of China, the paratroopers were trained to land on the island, and all the paratroopers landed safely. None of them fell into the sea, and the kilometer beach was covered with snow. Then, rockets were flying all over the sky, flames were blazing, gunshots were loud, and daggers flashed. After airborne, they suddenly occupied all the beachheads of the "enemy" ... On May 9, 20 12, airborne troops used new models and new umbrellas to carry out large-scale airborne drills in Dabie Mountain. Established paratroopers and light artillery, boxes of ammunition, chariots and logistics supplies fell from the sky in batches. After landing, paratroopers quickly assembled and launched a fierce attack on the target, showing the magnificent landscape of future airborne operations.

In this airborne exercise, dozens of tons of heavy equipment and paratroopers' assault vehicles were successfully dropped for the first time, marking a historic leap from single paratroopers' operations to synthetic operations in China.

Airborne troops are air forces with parachutes and land weapons as basic equipment and airplanes as transportation tools, which mainly carry out parachuting and landing operations. 20 12 The revolution of world military revolution has also brought challenges to airborne troops in China. In 20 13, China airborne troops kept close to the forefront of scientific and technological development, and concentrated their efforts on breaking through the difficult problems that restricted the improvement of airborne combat capability under high-tech conditions. Equipped with new aircraft carrying paratroopers, it is fast and has a large number of people. It can carry out single jump and continuous jump of three doors and four roads, and can drop heavy equipment all day. Long-distance flight can reach any local area without refueling. A new generation of paratroopers successfully designed and developed by our country has strong wind resistance and good low-altitude performance. Landing impact is similar to a new type of "power flying kill", which can adjust the running direction of parachutes in the air, enhance the selectivity and accuracy of paratroopers' landing, make paratroopers truly become "flying trapezes" and greatly enhance their mobile combat capability. The new communication equipment enables airborne troops to locate and communicate quickly after landing. Using individual air defense missiles, airborne troops can also attack enemy planes after landing.

Airborne troops in China regard independent airborne combat capability as the key point to improve the overall combat effectiveness of the troops, pay attention to enhancing campaign awareness, carry out in-depth research on tactics, increase the difficulty and intensity of confrontation, field survival and assault training, and cultivate tenacious fighting style in continuous operations.

At present, China's airborne troops have basically formed an all-round and all-weather airborne combat capability, which can drop and win everywhere.
