4. Scope of the Examination

The scope of the examination is based on the basic requirements of the "Level Five Objectives" that should be achieved by the end of ninth grade as stipulated in the "Curriculum Standards" formulated by the Ministry of Education.

5. Content and goal requirements

Focus on testing students’ language skills, language knowledge, intercultural communication awareness and intercultural communication abilities, that is, listening, speaking, reading, writing skills and The ability to flexibly use phonetic knowledge, vocabulary knowledge and grammatical knowledge. 6. Exam format

The exam format includes oral test (10%), listening test (20%) and written test (70%). The oral test can be scheduled before or after the listening test and written test. For the operation and examination management of the oral test, please refer to the "2005 Wenzhou Junior High School Academic Examination English Subject Oral Test Operation Methods" (see attachment). The organization and operation of the oral test are relatively difficult. For example, if the district or city does not conduct the oral test because it does not have the conditions for the oral test, it should add a question type of oral application "Oral Application" to the written test questions (accounting for 10% of the entire paper, see test questions Example), the purpose is to indirectly test students' "speaking" ability in written form. The listening test and written test are conducted in the same paper, using written responses and a closed-book examination.

7. Difficulty of test questions

The difficulty value of the entire paper is controlled at around 0.8; the ratio of easy, medium and difficult is 8:1:1.
